Welcome to Farm Photo Friday.
What a week!
With temperatures in the negative teens, our OLD tractor would not start.
We depend on that tractor to help clear our 450 feet long driveway.
One morning, my oldest daughter and I worked on the driveway with the snow shovel, basically as a way to just know where the driveway was for Handy Hubby to get in and out for work.
Our hard work was covered two hours later with more snow!
Needless to say...we were home bound for a while.
School was canceled.
Appointments and plans had to be rescheduled.
We did a divide and conquer for the chores on those frigid days.
Chickens.
Barn animals - alpacas and cats.
Inside animals.
Shoveling snow.
Sweeping snow.

I love snow days stuck at home , probably because we get so few of them. I know they can be frustrating and difficult, but I love seeing all the amazing snow pictures here and how the animals seem to respond with their usual penchant for enjoying life no matter what it brings. ( as long as it includes food for them :)Your alpaca pics are wonderful.

ReplyDeleteI try to be thankful for every day (even snowy and freezing cold). We make sure the animals have water and a little extra food (hay for the alpacas or kitchen scraps for the chickens) and they do fine in the weather. I enjoy taking pictures with snow as the backdrop...it is beautiful. Thanks for the visit!

Lori, your wintertime photos are beautiful. But I must say it does make me feel a bit cold. I'd send you some sun from California but today it was a bit windy and cloudy as we're expecting some much needed rain this weekend. Thanks so much for the Liebster Award you sent me a couple of weeks ago. Sorry that I didn't get around to taking part in it. But, today I received another one and I wrote a new blog post about it. Nice to see your pictures! Sping IS coming.... but the snow is still pretty. :)

Oh I love your photos! Seems like we've been in the same boat lately weather wise. But we don't have quite as long of a driveway as you do - yikes! Love the shots of the chickens enjoying treats :) Here's to warmer weather!

Your alpacas are so cute. I hope the days get warmer...at least you got a snow day (or your daughter) I always consider snow days bonus days...a little gift from nature!
