Baked Apples Slices (made in the microwave)

Two years ago we planted a couple apple trees.

This was the first year that we had a harvest from one of those trees.

Hold on to your seats...

                      this is exciting news...

                                    we picked...

                                                  7 apples!

It's a start, right?

So looking forward to more and more apples...year after year.

          Any who...
I made something the other night that is a fall favorite in our home.

Baked Apple Slices (made in the microwave)
They are quick and easy to prepare.
The smell fills your home with a wonderful aroma.
And, they taste delicious!

Baked Apple Slices (made in the microwave)
serves 4
Peel, core, and slice 5 medium sized apples
Arrange the apples in a glass baking dish
Add 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces, on top of apples
Add 2 to 3 tablespoons brown sugar over top (depending on how sweet the apples are)
Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Add 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Microwave for 3 minutes, then stir
Microwave for 3 more minutes
Check apples for tenderness
If more time is needed, microwave for one minute intervals, stirring along the way.

If you are looking for an easy way to slice and core apples, try this.
It is one of my favorite kitchen tools.
