Christmas Mantel 2015

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...

I love having a mantel to decorate.
For the seasons.
For the holidays.
For the 'just because'.

For this years Christmas mantel I decided to go with a simple look.

The deer is from my Mom.  She got it from Home Interiors years ago.

It is perched next to a sparkling tree that looks like a snow and ice covered tree found in the forest.

Flanked on the other side of the mantel are two more sparkling trees.

The sparkly trees compliment my snow covered branches that you see on top of the corner hutch.
(I will share how I made them in another post.)

The center of the mantel is home to our vintage mantel clock.

I simply filled in the rest of the mantel with greenery and pine cones.  The white tipped ones were store bought years ago - they were ornaments - I took the string off.  The other pine cones I have collected through the years from nature.

Tiny white lights give a soft glow.

As you can see, the slippers have already been tossed to the side.  The chair, adorned with a pillow and throw are calling my name...  I love to sit there and just look at the Christmas decorations.  Do you do the same thing?
