Country Living Fair 2016

Yesterday I attended the Country Living Fair!

As you can tell from the sky, it was a beautiful day.

How cute is that chicken picture hanging on a blue building?
You know I had to take a picture and share it with you!

The Country Living Fair was located at the Ohio Village in Columbus, Ohio.  It was a quaint little setting.

This back drop...
the bench...the fallen leaves...those pumpkins...the colors...the wooden sidewalk...

Inside one of the buildings was a true pioneer scene.
Women were dressed as they would in the 1800's and they were canning on a wood stove.
I felt like I was in a Little House on the Prairie scene.

Thanks to Karri from Blue Ribbon Kitchen blog, it was my first time attending a Country Living Fair.
I won two tickets from her.  Thank you Karri!

She is an award winning baker, and shares her recipes and tips on her blog.
For Karri's Sunday demonstration at the CL fair, she made an apple pie...yum!

This arrangement definitely caught my eye...
Flowers and straw tucked into a galvanized tub...yes please!

The Country Living Fair offered great shopping, live music, demonstrations, book signings, and so much more.

I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Melissa Caughey from Tilly's Nest.

Melissa is quite busy.  She writes her blog and also contributes to HGTV Gardens, Country Living magazine, Grit magazine, and
She also wrote her first book:  A Kids Guide To Keeping Chickens.

Of course we talked chickens and blogging, but she also showed me a couple goodies that she purchased at the Country Living Fair.

Hubby, daughters, and I had a great time and plan to go again next year!

  1. Wow, what a great opportunity! I thought that was Melissa! How fun it must have been to connect with her. Thanks for letting us go to the fair vicariously.

  2. That sounds so neat! I've never heard of the Country Living Fair but now I would love to go! Nice to meet up with other bloggers too!

  3. Congrats on winning tickets for such a beautiful event ♥

I love to read your comments! Thank you for taking the time to leave one.
