The Chickens:
This Black Star chicken proudly let me capture her beautiful colors with my phone one morning. |
Look at the beautiful teal color! She glistens in the sunlight. |
The different colored legs are mesmerizing to me...check them out... white, yellow, grey, yellow/black. |
Our Newest Animal:
We have had this cow for about a month now. She has a heart shape on her head! |
The Apple Trees:
Old apple tree |
New apple tree |
The Garden:
I pick zucchini EVERY morning. |
Look closely...do you see the green beans? The white buds will soon be beans too. |
cherry tomatoes |
No garden is complete without a ladybug, right? |
In The Wooded Area:
wild blackberries |
blooms, bees, and butterflies |
wild flowers |
Thank you for visiting!

Enjoyed your beautiful photos, LL! Your girls are getting so big and what gorgeous plumage they have! Have a terrific weekend! ~CB
ReplyDeleteThe chickens should start laying in another month or so....I'm so looking forward to the blue eggs!
DeleteBeautiful! Oh, I miss my green beans! I only got a couple of harvests and they were done!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all of your goodies!
Your season is definitely ahead of ours Daisy. I hope you got to freeze or can some of your beans.
DeleteLovely Lori, Your ladies are healthy...which lays the blue eggs? I can only imagine how big my zucchini and squash will be when I get home Monday.
ReplyDeleteThe Aeracauna (brownish) colored chicken will lay blue eggs! If I miss a zucchini and it gets real big I give it to the chickens...they love it ;-)
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed all your photos. So wish we could have chickens... but we just get other neighbors pets crabbing in our yards ;{. I didn't grow beans but need to!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the pictures Cathy. Uuugh...neighbors animals messing in your yard.
DeleteHi Lori! Your photos are always so gorgeous ~ the ladybug and berries are my favs! Blessings, Cecilia
ReplyDeleteThanks Cecilia! We are loving the berries.
DeleteI enjoyed all your photos, but the heart shape on the head of the cow made me smile! I'm about to give up on gardening. The deer eat everything around here and just the other day, they polished off all the peaches that I was looking forward to picking. I guess I was a day too late.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, we had problems with deer last year...try putting human hair on your plants (from a hair brush). It truly does help keep the deer away. I used it in the garden (we now have a fence) and I used it on our Apple trees...
DeleteYour animals are just adorable and your flowers are awesome! Hubby tried to grow some veggies last year here in New Zealand and we had zucchini all summer, too!
