Spring time + homesteading = busy.
Here's a peak at what is going on around our little farm...
Good morning beautiful!
Last year I planted clematis...it is growing and flowering beautifully!
Apples!!!
They make me smile ;-)
I help the grape vines weave in and out of the arbor as needed.
Grapes this year???
The ladies loved watermelon on a blazing hot day.
Clearing the creek bank a bit so we can see and hear the bubbling creek...
Hoping to make seating and eating 'rooms' here...
But for now? Poison ivy has taken up residence on my arms!
We have been enjoying green onions and lettuce from the garden. The kale should be ready soon.
Have a fantabulous day!
I see the "Ladies" are living well. I always look forward to your Farm Foto Fridays. Thank you. (and I hope your poison ivy gets better fast!)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Vikki...I'm glad you enjoy them!
DeleteOh no! Poison ivy! Yech...Hope it goes away real fast. I've learned that aloe vera works wonders for any type of skin problem.
ReplyDeleteYour clematis are gorgeous! Gotta get me some of those! It's always fun seeing what's going on at your homestead.
Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks Daisy! I bought some over the counter poison ivy meds to help with the itch and hoping to contain it. The clematis that I planted last year has really taken off this year, and I planted another variety this year...looking forward to seeing them together next year.
DeleteHi Lori, these photos you shared are fabulous! I love the one of the chickens and watermelon; how cute. I made your spinach frittata tonight and it turned out great. I substituted 1/3 cup of almond milk in place of the cream and added sheeps milk feta instead of the other cheese. I followed your cooking directions and it was perfect! Thanks again for sharing such a wonderful recipe. Have a wonderful, fun filled weekend! Hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. I am so glad you liked the frittata...sounds like you made it healthier than my version...I have never tried almond milk.
DeleteWhat lovely photos! I bought a grapevine this year but it still has no leaves on it....I'm afraid it's a dud!! Boooo!!
