Cinnamon Sugared Almonds

A sweet nut.

No, I'm not talking about you!

You sweet're just a nut.

I'm talking about cinnamon sugared almonds.

I've had these (expensive!) almonds at fairs and such.

I figured there had to be an easy way to make them at home...

Easy indeed!

That's all you need!

And 15 minutes of constantly stirring.

After a quick cool down, you can start popping these babies in your mouth.

But, be warned...they are addictive!

Here's the recipe:

Cinnamon Sugared Almonds

2 cups whole almonds
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup water

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat.
Continually stir until the liquid has evaporated, leaving a sticky coating on the almonds.
This should take approximately 15 minutes.
Pour almonds on to a wax lined baking sheet and allow to cool.

  1. 15 minutes of stirring, wow, not bad! These are indeed addicting. I want to make these, my husband would love them! Thanks for sharing the recipe :)

    1. You are welcome! When I realized how easy they were to make, I wanted to shout it to the world ;-)

  2. One of our new neighbors brought some of these made with pecans and oh my gosh, they did not last long!
I may have to try this recipe! Thank you!

    1. How nice of your neighbor. No, they did not last long here either ;-)

  3. This sounds delicious! Thanks for doing all the testing for a great recipe for us.

    1. Well, well... it was a lot of work testing this recipe. I can't even tell you how long they should last in a sealed container, because, well, they didn't last. ;-)

  4. I'm glad you were able to take a picture before the nuts disappeared! They sound so good and easy to make. Thanks for the recipe.
