Farm Photo Friday (May 15, 2015) and a WINNER

Let's sit for a spell and listen to the bubbling creek...

Welcome to Farm Photo Friday.

A picture is worth a thousand words...

The chicks are now 5 weeks old.  This is a silver laced breed.

Rhubarb that was planted from a start of my parent's plant.

The turkey house and fencing are almost done.

Hhmmm...
if you are unruly you pick weeds...
if you are ruly that's good too...
either way, Momma is happy!
(This was my Mother's day gift)

    1. The 5 weeks have gone by quickly...hopefully (weather permitting) they can move outside next week.

  3. Beautiful photos as usual, Lori.

Is this a silver laced Wyandotte? I love this breed. To me, they are an epitome of a perfect country home.

I don't know why I still don't grow rhubarb. I need to fix that.

Nice job on building the turkey abode. Is the house made of plywood? Are you planning to paint it to weatherproof?

I like the weed pikers placard. I noticed a tiny little part of the fence painted white. You painted your fence white! Nicely done.

    Thank you for the pictures.

    1. Kimberly,
Thank you for your kind words!
Yes, it is a Silver Laced Wyandotte chicken. She will grow into a pretty looking chicken...lacey looking.
The turkey house is made out of plywood (cheap). I have stained it to weather proof it and match our chicken coop and garden shed.

  4. That sign gives me the giggles! We had to pick weeks all the time when I was growing up if we sassed. Needless to say, we barely had any weeds at all :) coco
