Farm Photo Friday (August 19, 2016)

Welcome to Farm Photo Friday!

The garden and chickens have been providing us with plenty to eat during this busy summer season.
As I write this, I have tomatoes simmering on the stove.

We have had some spectacular sunrises this week.

And many foggy mornings, making for beautiful backdrops around the farm.

Stunning summer wild flowers still grace the fence lines.

The chickens have been keeping cool in this heat wave that we are still in.

One of their favorite treats are tomatoes.

The kittens and cows were waiting together for their breakfast this morning.

Canning and freezing season is upon us!

The days are packed full, but the lovely pinkish sunset tucks us in every night.

I hope you've enjoyed this little peek into our week.
What's going on in your neck of the woods?

  2. Love the pictures of your life. We are heavily into ripe wild blackberries here on the Oregon Coast and have avoided the worst of the summer heat. We have baby lambs in the field in back of us, but I envy you all your chickens (and kittens too). Thank you for such beautiful pictures.

  4. Wonderful pictures of the farm. By getting up and out early you are able to see some great sunrises! It's amazing how the heat wave just keeps on coming at us. I guess we have cooled down some but with the humidity it really doesn't feel like it!
